Oolong

Oolong.pngOolong means black dragon or black snake. The Oolong tea comes from China, Taiwan, India, Malaysia and Vietnam. Oolong tea is semi-fermented tea, which should actually be called semi-oxidized, because there are no microorganisms involved. Half-fermented means "lying between black and green tea", also with regard to the caffeine content.* The fermentation process is interrupted by the action of heat.** Special feature of the Oolong tea: Even with repeated infusions, the quality remains the same.*
